Business Service Terms

Version 1.0 · Last updated: 15 July 2026

1. Supplier identity

These services are supplied by NOCTIS STUDIOS LIMITED (Company No. 16940486), registered in England and Wales and trading as ScanLens.

Registered office: 23 Glenfield Road, Leicester, England, LE3 6AT.

Contact: [email protected] or the Support page. ScanLens provides support by email and secure online forms.

2. Who may purchase

ScanLens Business services are offered only to customers purchasing wholly or mainly for purposes of their trade, business, craft or profession.

By placing an order, you confirm that you are acting for business purposes and, if you act for a company or other organisation, that you have authority to bind that customer.

If you cannot make this confirmation, do not use the online checkout. Contact [email protected] before purchasing.

If you nevertheless qualify as a consumer under applicable law, nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited.

3. Authority to bind an organisation

If you order for a company, partnership, charity, public body or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to place the Order and agree to these Terms on its behalf. The organisation is the customer under the Order.

4. Ordering and contract formation

The website description and any Stripe Payment Link are invitations to place an order. Your order and payment are an offer to buy the selected service. A contract is formed only when ScanLens sends written acceptance. If we cannot accept your order, we will refund all amounts paid for it.

ScanLens may reject a non-business purchase, an order outside the stated scope, an order involving unlawful, unsafe or unauthorised activity, or an order that ScanLens cannot reasonably deliver.

The delivery period begins only when ScanLens has accepted the Order, payment has been received, complete required information has been supplied and the scope has been confirmed.

5. Starter Scam Safety Review - £99

  • One business, one public website and one email domain.
  • Remote and non-invasive review.
  • PDF report with prioritised findings and recommendations.
  • Delivery within 2-3 business days after all contract, payment, information and scope conditions in section 4 are met.
  • Seven calendar days of email clarification.
  • No call included.
  • Factual corrections included.
  • Expanded scope or a new review requires a separate quote.

6. Business Protection Setup - £399

  • One business or one team, one main public website and up to two email domains.
  • Everything included in the Starter review.
  • Tailored suspicious-message response workflow.
  • Staff checklist.
  • Email/domain protection action plan.
  • Delivery within five business days after all contract, payment, information and scope conditions in section 4 are met.
  • 14 calendar days of email follow-up.
  • One review call of up to 45 minutes.
  • One revision of the workflow/checklist.
  • Additional domains, teams, calls or revisions require a separate quote.

7. Customer responsibilities

The customer must provide accurate, complete and lawful information required for the agreed scope, identify only websites and email domains it is authorised to submit, explain the main concern and respond to reasonable clarification requests.

The customer must maintain appropriate backups, control access to its systems, decide whether and how to implement recommendations, obtain specialist legal, accounting, compliance or technical advice where required, and ensure that it is authorised to provide any domain, company or staff information to ScanLens.

Do not send passwords, payment-card data, licence keys, health information, private client documents or unnecessary personal information.

8. Excluded services

The service does not include penetration testing, attempts to access systems, bypassing authentication, aggressive vulnerability scanning, a full vulnerability assessment, incident response, ongoing monitoring, managed security services, legal advice, regulated financial advice or compliance certification.

9. Delivery estimates

Starter is normally delivered within 2-3 business days and Business Protection Setup within five business days after the delivery period begins under section 4. These are estimates rather than guaranteed deadlines. ScanLens will communicate material delays.

10. Scope changes

Any expanded scope or additional domains, teams, calls, revisions or new review must be agreed in writing and quoted separately before that additional work begins. A scope change may alter the delivery estimate.

11. Payment

Starter may be ordered through the published Stripe checkout. Business Protection Setup requires an enquiry and written scope confirmation before ScanLens provides a one-off Stripe invoice or Payment Link. Payment must be received before work begins.

ScanLens does not store complete payment-card details. Stripe processes payment information under its own terms and privacy notice.

12. VAT

Prices shown are the total prices. No VAT is currently charged.

13. Start of work

Work begins after ScanLens has accepted the order, payment has been received, the required information is complete and ScanLens has confirmed the scope.

14. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel before work begins and receive a full refund.

After work begins, you may cancel by emailing [email protected]. You must pay a reasonable proportion of the agreed fee for work completed up to cancellation, together with any non-cancellable third-party costs that were disclosed and approved in advance. We will refund any remaining balance.

If ScanLens cancels an accepted order, we will refund the part of the fee relating to services not supplied.

Nothing in this section limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. Confidentiality

Each party must keep non-public information received for the service confidential and use it only for delivering, receiving or administering the agreed service. A party may disclose information where required by law, to its professional advisers under duties of confidentiality, or where authorised in writing.

16. Intellectual property and report licence

The customer owns its pre-existing materials. ScanLens retains ownership of its methods, templates, checklists, report structures, tools and reusable know-how.

After full payment, the customer receives a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use and copy the delivered report internally for its own business purposes. The customer may share it with its employees, professional advisers, insurers, regulators and service providers who reasonably need it, provided confidentiality is maintained.

The customer may not resell the report, publish it publicly, or remove ScanLens attribution and present it as another provider's work without written permission. This does not prevent a disclosure required by law.

17. Service limitations

The service is remote and non-invasive. It is based on publicly accessible information, information provided by the customer and observations available at the time of review.

It is not penetration testing, legal advice, regulated financial advice, compliance certification or a guarantee that every scam, vulnerability or control weakness will be identified.

Findings are a time-specific snapshot. Websites, domain records and threats can change after delivery. These limitations do not reduce a specific deliverable expressly included in the selected package and confirmed scope.

18. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by negligence;
  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
  • any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Subject to the paragraph above, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss.

ScanLens is not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, anticipated savings, goodwill, reputation or data to the extent that such loss is indirect or consequential.

Subject to the exclusions above, ScanLens's total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with an Order, whether in contract, tort including negligence, misrepresentation, restitution or otherwise, will not exceed the greater of:

  • £1,000; and
  • the total fees paid or payable for that Order.

These limitations apply only to the extent permitted by law.

Plain-English summary: Our services are limited-scope advisory reviews. The liability limits reflect the price, remote nature and defined scope of the service.

19. Suspension or termination for unlawful or unsafe requests

ScanLens may reject, suspend or terminate work that is unlawful, unsafe, outside the agreed scope, unauthorised by the relevant system or domain owner, or reasonably likely to harm another person. Where ScanLens cancels an accepted Order, section 14 applies.

20. Data protection

The Privacy Policy Business enquiries section explains how ScanLens handles enquiry and customer information. The customer must ensure that it has authority and a lawful basis to provide any personal information included in the agreed scope.

21. General complaints

Send service, purchase, report or support complaints to [email protected] with the subject "Service complaint". Include enough information to identify the Order, but do not send passwords or payment-card data.

22. Data protection complaints

If the concern is about how ScanLens has handled personal information, use the Data Protection Complaints Procedure or email [email protected] with the subject "Data protection complaint".

23. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms, each Order and any non-contractual obligations arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

Before starting court proceedings, the parties will try in good faith for 30 days to resolve the dispute through written discussion. This does not prevent either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief, protecting confidential information or recovering an undisputed debt.

24. Terms version and effective date

These are ScanLens Business Service Terms version 1.0, last updated and effective from 15 July 2026.

The Terms version accepted for an Order applies to that Order. Future material changes do not apply retroactively to an accepted Order unless the parties expressly agree otherwise or the law requires the change.

The general ScanLens Terms continue to apply to the public scanner where relevant.
