ScanLens Business

Fake invoice and phishing email safety review for small businesses

ScanLens Business checks the common gaps that make small companies easier to scam: fake invoice workflows, suspicious links, SPF/DKIM/DMARC email setup, website trust signals and practical staff response steps. It is built for accountants, bookkeepers, agencies and service businesses that need a clear written report without a full penetration test.

Before and after the review

Turn uncertain phishing decisions into a documented workflow

Before

Employees receive phishing and fake-invoice messages

Links, sender claims and payment changes are judged ad hoc. Staff may not know who should verify a request, what evidence to keep or how to report it.

After

A clearer review, report and action path

ScanLens reviews the agreed public scope, records prioritised findings in a written report and recommends protection actions. The deeper package also includes a tailored suspicious-message response workflow and staff checklist.

This is a remote, point-in-time review of the agreed scope. It is not continuous monitoring and does not guarantee that every phishing attempt will be detected.

For teams that handle client money, invoices or bookings

Most small-business scam losses do not start with advanced hacking. They start with a convincing invoice, a spoofed supplier email, a fake login link, a cloned page, or a staff member who is unsure what to check before replying.

ScanLens Business gives you a practical written review of the visible risks that matter first: suspicious link handling, customer-facing website signals, email authentication, fake invoice exposure and staff response steps.

Suitable for:

  • Accountants and bookkeepers
  • Landlord and property support businesses
  • Local service businesses
  • Online shops
  • Agencies and consultants
  • Businesses receiving customer bookings or payments online

When this review is useful

Use this review when a business needs a clear answer before spending money on a larger security project. It is focused on common scam paths that affect real teams: phishing emails, fake invoice messages, suspicious links, weak email authentication and customer-facing website trust gaps.

  • A suspicious invoice or payment-change email reached your team
  • A customer reported a phishing page, fake message or lookalike domain using your name
  • You are not sure whether SPF, DKIM and DMARC are set up correctly
  • Your staff need a simple process before opening links or paying invoices
  • You want written recommendations that are easier to act on than a generic scanner result

What the review checks

The review focuses on practical, visible risks that often lead to fake invoice payments, unsafe links, account compromise or customer trust problems.

  • Fake invoice and payment redirection emails
  • Suspicious links sent to staff or customers
  • Weak SPF, DKIM or DMARC email domain setup
  • Cloned website and impersonation signals
  • Suspicious QR codes and short links
  • Website HTTPS and basic security header gaps

Do you need server access?

No. The standard review is remote and non-invasive. We use public website, domain and email security checks unless a separate written scope is agreed.

When will I receive the report?

Starter delivery is within 2-3 business days after complete information is received. Business Protection Setup delivery is within five business days after scope confirmation and receipt of complete information.
