Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 2026-03-15

1. The Service and applicable terms

These general ScanLens Terms apply, where relevant, to the public scanner, browser extensions, Personal Pro and other general ScanLens services.

ScanLens provides best-effort automated safety analysis of user-selected URLs, links and messages. Results may include a SAFE, SUSPICIOUS or DANGEROUS verdict based on automated checks and threat-intelligence signals.

When a customer buys a ScanLens Business service, the ScanLens Business Service Terms version 1.0 additionally apply to that Order. If those Business Terms conflict with these general Terms for a Business Order, the Business Terms govern that Order.

2. No warranties

The Service is provided on an “as‑is” and “as‑available” basis. We do not guarantee that a link is safe or dangerous. You are responsible for your decisions and for verifying sources independently when appropriate.

3. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the Service to conduct attacks, probe private/internal networks, or attempt to bypass security controls.
  • Do not submit URLs that contain personal data you do not have the right to share.
  • Do not automate large‑scale scanning without written permission (rate limits apply).

4. Rate limits

We may enforce per‑device / per‑browser limits to protect the Service from abuse and to keep it available to everyone. Limits may change over time.

5. Third‑party services

ScanLens may rely on third‑party infrastructure for security and delivery (for example a CDN and human verification).
